Lord, I have Been Here Before..Really...AGAIN? Can you Hear Me Whining?

How was your weekend? We had a great time with family this weekend. Missed my oldest. He was supposed to be able to come with his fiance'. But, he had to cover for someone at work and couldn't get away. But there was lots of fun with the nieces and nephews at a birthday party, and good times with my father-in-law and his wife yesterday. Bunch of other stuff too. God has blessed us greatly.

In the midst of that, I began last Wednesay taking on a new project that may or may not be a waste of time, but I HAD, as in HAD to try it. We shall see! Nothing ventured nothing gained!

And
at the outset of the weekend, I was faced with a situation that was oh so familiar to me, as to make me want to just stay at home and put the covers over my head, because it just made me weary to comtemplate the SAME scenery AGAIN! Sheesh! Enough already! But, I did not! I hung on to the hem of His garment and said "I can't do this. I. CAN. NOT. Do. This. Please. Take. This...."

And He did.
Through the weekend, since it was a busy time, (and many times I just wanted to escape and be alone with Him, My Father, My Savior, My King) when I was maybe in the truck driving by myself to run a quick 100th errand in town, or in the shower, or feeding Roto (our pig)...there was this song that I would sing - and it stirred my faith, and kept the enemy at bay. I don't know if I have heard it before ,or if it just was my spirit initiating a call out to the Lord. I just know the ministry of The Holy Spirit through that song blessed me and kept me going.

I am determined to not see this scenery again. I press on, and I don't look back. I trust Him!
How about you? If He's bringing you through - say so! Happy Monday, Ya'll!

  1. Pressing on! No matter how many times we round that corner to see "IT"...pressing on because His way is good. Rejoicing with you!

  2. Pressing on...pressing on for the higher goal! Keep at it girlfriend. I love it when God reaches deep into my spirit through a song on the radio right in the midst of a trial. Too cool! I love that wonderful heart of yours in this sentence: "and many times I just wanted to escape and be alone with Him, My Father, My Savior, My King"...oh your sweet heart. Love you. Thank you SO MUCH for all your encouragement. Love you.

  3. God bless you for putting something that is obviously difficult and, I'm sure, annoying into God's hands and going on with what sounds to have turned out to be a wonderful weekend. It is too easy to sit and wallow in self-pity. Your story is a good example of what happens when you don't. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Hey sweetie! I am sending you big bloggy friend hugs across the miles and airways. I don't know the circumstances, and I don't need to. We all have difficult times. Times when we need to run to the loving arms of our Abba Father, and when we can all use a little help from our friends. So, here I am to love and support! This too shall pass, and until it does, hang in there. I heard a cute and very true phrase once, that goes a little something like this......When you get to the end of your rope, tie and knot and hang on for dear life. Love ya! Oh, and I've been sick, but I'm catching up on posts. I loved your post on "shaving!" hee-hee! Very inspiring!

  6. Goodness girl..there are so many times that I get that old familiar feeling. A feeling that I had so hoped I would never feel again.
    But He is so faithful.
I was reminded again last night as I was reading The Shack to my husband that God does not view our lives as we do. He knows just how long it is going to take us to "get It" and move on to new territory. So He is not let down when we don't walk in victory for the first time because He already knew we wouldn't. Kind of reminds me of David...and how even after such a mess God still said he was a man after His own heart.
And so I keep moving. I keep moving because I know victory here will go with me into eternity.
Lessons learned will be forever mind...because of His blood.
    Love ya girl

  7. I'm glad He is giving you the strength to come through! I do get discouraged when I begin to repeat an old familiar battle, too. But His grace is sufficient.
